Pop Art

Narrator: Tabitha of The Pairabirds

I just made some retro/mod pop art from the fabric I bought a few days ago. This little project allows me to do some of my favorite things: use glue, find fabric, recycle jewelry, and punch holes. I'm trying to make these pop art squares as eco-friendly as possible. The canvases are new, but everything else was thrifted (is that a word?).

The background is done with tattered and torn book pages (a staple for my mixed media pieces). The fabric was either found at the thrift store or remnant pieces lying around the studio. The buttons, in some cases, were my oops buttons (I pressed the the snap part on upside down). Any jewelry pieces are from broken necklaces and earrings. It's a nice little project and adds a nice abstract element to my collection.
