Receiving the Sears Christmas catalogue signified the beginning of the Going Broke Christmas season. Children gathered their markers, crayons and notebook papers (scissors and glue, for those who couldn't write) and wrote up their wishlist for Santa.

High on the list for Barbie fans... the Barbie Dreamhouse.... what a dream. Not only was Barbie the prettiest, the smartest, the most athletic, the most popular, had the worlds hottest non-committing beau, but she had the most beautiful house in the world *glitter glitter*

I didn't get a DreamHouse. I got the Fun and Fold House which was pretty cool. But, it lacked essentials, which seems to be common among most of Barbie's playhouses . Like a bathroom.
