Illustration Friday: "Pretend"

My poor, poor neglected blog.

Anyway, I finally did another Illustration Friday theme. This is for the "Pretend" theme. This illustration was done digitally. I scanned in my illustration and traced over it. I want my digital work to maintain the line variation/weight of my pencil drawings. Inking the linework digitally gives me nice solid black lines. Using a "real" ink pen for drawing does not agree with me. I think the ink should go where I say, but the ink thinks it can smear and dance wherever it wants. Not on my watch.

Enough babbling for now. You can click on the pic to get a closer look.

Hi! Thanks for posting. I am really fascinated with any discussions dealing with backgrounds and arts. Also, I want to share you additional information about background for web or windows. I have discovered a site that offers small, free background tiles with ten new ones every week! see here, www.pictureseeds.com
